Habanero Hot Sauce (paleo/whole30)
INGREDIENTS
10 habanero peppers, de-seeded/halved
6 garlic cloves, smashed
1 onion, diced
1 medium carrot, chopped
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 lime juice
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 cups water
Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS
1. Pre-heat oven to 425F. In a baking pan, place habanero peppers and garlic cloves. Drizzle olive oil.
2. Roast for 10-15 mins, till browned.
3. In a pot, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Add carrots and onions. Cook till softened.
4. Add ACV, lime juice and water. Turn to high heat till it starts to boil then reduce to a simmer.
5. Add roasted garlic and peppers. Simmer for 5 minutes then let it cool.
6. Add to a blender and blend till smooth.
7. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks!
